Classification of Napa

Recently the Finnish publication FINE Wine Magazine has attempted to classify Napa Valley wines akin to the 1855 Classification of Bordeaux. View the article here: "Napa Valley Classification." Since then, there has been much debate in the wine world on the legitimacy of such a classification. Jancis Robinson adds her two cents in her November 2nd article "Napa's first and second growths?"

Personally, I think this classification process a natural step for Napa but that the perception of California wines is largely influenced by marketing and branding, more than any other wine-growing region. What is your take on the situation? Do you agree with FINE's proposed classification?
