2008 Antinori - Tignanello
I've been waiting to uncork this for a number of years! I was not disappointed! In the glass, the wine was dark purple. The nose was intense, filled with dark fruit and spice! The tannins were present, but did not dominate the palate. There was plenty of rich fruit! The finish was that of chocolate, mocha, spice, and quite long! Loved it! I'll hold my last bottle of the 2008 for 3-5 more years before I uncork it!

2007 Campogiovanni - Brunello di Montalcino
The color was that of dark, inky purple. The nose was initially earthy, reminiscent of mushrooms! However, as it breathed, the nose was wonderfully transformed to cherry liqueur. All at the table were impressed! On the palate, I tasted dark fruit and anise, with a hint of white pepper. The tannins were refined and the finish was silky smooth; left me wanting for more!

2002 Warre's - LBV Port (Traditional)
Pure decadence! Black currant and spice on the nose, which continued on the palate. This is rich and viscous! The finish was that of polished tannins and dates. The family loved it! This is a great bargain at $24.00. I'm definitely buying more.

2007 Poggio Scalette - Il Carbonaione
An amazing vintage shared with family! Deep purple in color with a silky smooth feel on the palate. Ripe cherry, subtle spice, and refined tannins. This wine provided a long, enjoyable finish! This drinks wonderfully now and should for the next 4-5 years.

2009 Robert Mondavi - Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville
My last bottle! Uncorked it tonight and used a portion of it for making French Onion Soup. Enjoyed what remained while partaking of the soup! Such a wonderfully balanced vintage. Ripe dark fruit with the right level of acidity. The tannins were very refined. The finish left me wanting more.
