2007 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars - Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis
I had held this wine for 4 years and thought it was time to uncork. It could have gone another couple of years! Even after decanting for 45 minutes, it was still tight. Nonetheless, as with the varietal, there were notes of blackberry with rather refined tannins. The finish was of medium length and was overall enjoyable.

2005 Trimbach - Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile
It was somewhat bittersweet to part with my last bottle of this vintage. Such notwithstanding, I was glad to uncork it and share it with my work associates, who enjoyed it immensely. Love the lime and petrol! What can I write that I've not noted earlier. Still drinking well!

2010 Ramey - Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard
The wine presented with a golden hue in the glass. First impression on the palate was of the creamy, buttery feel. It was wonderful, with just a hint of spice. I enjoyed the lemon zest on the finish, which was long and left me wanting another drink.

2012 Montevertine - Pian del Ciampolo
A good everyday Toscano. Strongly recommend serving at approximately 65 degrees and after decanting 30-45 minutes. Not much fruit on the nose, maybe a hint of cherry. Cherry cola on the palate with a definitive presence of tannins (although not chewy). Not a very long finish.

2005 Trimbach - Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile
I've enjoyed my third bottle of this vintage and each was more pleasant than before. There are definitive notes of lime and petrol on the nose. The fruit, minerality, and acid are wonderfully balanced on the palate. As noted in previous notes, one enjoys lime zest on the wonderfully clean finish. I enjoyed this wine with herb-crusted pork tenderloin, creamy Gorgonzola and mushroom risotta, and a dessert of sauteed apples.

2007 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon - Rites of Passage
Tonight, my oldest daughter (33) requested to taste red wine. Heretofore, her tastes leaned toward dry to semi-dry whites. Of course, I enjoyed many of those vintages with her. This evening at dinner; however, was different!I had...
