RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. 2009 Six Degrees - Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2009 was not as expressive as the 2006 or 2007. The color was dark purple, which inspired some hope for a memorable wine. The nose; however, was subdued. There were floral and some fruity notes, blackberry jam, perhaps. The palate was unremarkable and the finish was short-lived. Time will not rescue this wine.

2009 Zind-Humbrecht - Gewurztraminer Clos Windsbuhl
This is another beauty from the Alsace wine growing region of France. Medium gold in the glass. It is decidedly sweet with 62 grams/liter of residual sweetness; however, the level of acidity brings a delicate balance to this wine. The nose is expressive with lychee, grapefruit, wet stones, and a subtle spiciness. The sweetness and citrus are nicely tamed by the acidity. And, there is a wonderful persistence of sweet grapefruit on a smooth, lingering finish. An absolute delight after an evening meal!

2007 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon - Rites of Passage
Tonight, my oldest daughter (33) requested to taste red wine. Heretofore, her tastes leaned toward dry to semi-dry whites. Of course, I enjoyed many of those vintages with her. This evening at dinner; however, was different!I had...
