Caprili - Brunello di Montalcino Riserva
Drank the Felsina Rancia, then the 1999 Caprili, and the Felsina - Fontalloro.
The Rancia was mellow and yummie. The Caprili was close but slightly tighter/younger. The Fontalloro tasted dramatically different and I always wonder if it was bad.
Good but not as good as the slightly less expensive Rancia. May be just as good with 4 more years of bottle age.

Felsina - Fontalloro
Drank the Felsina Rancia, then the 1999 Caprili, and the Felsina - Fontalloro.
The Rancia was mellow and yummie. The Caprili was close but slightly tighter/younger. The Fontalloro tasted dramatically different and I always wonder if it was bad.
Not a winner.

Felsina - Chianti Classico Rancia Riserva (Berardenga)
Drank the Felsina Rancia, then the 1999 Caprili, and the Felsina - Fontalloro.
The Rancia was mellow and yummie. The Caprili was close but slightly tighter/younger. The Fontalloro tasted dramatically different and I always wonder if it was bad.
This Rancia was clearly the winner.
2005
Penny's Hill - Shiraz
Good, my first Shiraz, not as spicy as I expected. Enjjoyed more than the young mondavi cab from the night before.
