RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2005 Palmina - Nebbiolo Sisquoc Vineyard
A really good showing for this wine. Bright, complex, layered red cherry aromas and flavors, well integrated tannins, and pronounced but still balanced acidity. Could probably improve further for 3-5 years.

(Tasted Jun 9, 2015)

1989 Paul Jaboulet Aine - Hermitage La Chapelle
This one has finally come out of its shell. Not especially typical - more floral red fruit than smoke and leather. Beautifully balanced, with firm but well integrated tannins sitting in the background. Could develop some more complexity over the next several years. Karen recommends decanting early. Comparisons with the 1988 will be interesting.

(Tasted Mar 14, 2011)

1997 Amethyst - Vinalia
In late maturity - the fruit is starting to fade a little. Drink up soon.

(Tasted Jan 4, 2011)
