Georges Roumier - Morey St-Denis Clos de la Bussiere 1er Cru
really nice soft and sweet... though i do think it was on the down hill slide (tho I know the bottle that I had was not stored well)
first nose was stewed black cherries, cooked down with notes of figs.. a little air and the cooked notes blossomed into fresh ripe red fruit.. just a beautiful opening, that unfortunately faded a bit fast.. but there was that few moments that this was stunning... soft, slightly lush in the mouth, still kicking and showing some strength... touch of sweetness as in sweet fruit, not sweet as in sugar levels... finish a bit soil heavy.. almost bitter....
Drank well, just not primetime.... wish I had caught this 2 years before... but I did enjoy it
