Gemstone - Red Facets of Gemstone
A gorgeous, voluptuous red wine dripping in strawberry, flint, and vanilla. Mouthwatering and just beautifully balanced. Nice long finish. One bottle left so I'll be eager to see how it drinks in another couple years by comparison.

L'Aventure - Cote a Cote
A succulent, mouth-watering, beautifully balanced wine. Rich, ripe red fruit with cassis and subtle graphite flavoring that quickly gives way to strawberry and blueberry fruit. Wonderfully balanced already with nice structure and a long finish. I can't recommend it enough.

Far Niente - Chardonnay
Just a bit too oaky and lacking in aromatics to join the list of my favorite California chards. Wanted to love it because of their cabs but there are many better choices out there.

Mas de Boislauzon - Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de Quet
A superlative effort. This CDP held its own beautifully against strong CA cab competition. I noted succulent red berries bursting with opulence, vanilla bean, and a lush, mouthwatering sensation. A wonderfully cool structure on the palate, with modest tannins that will only improve over the years, and a curiously long finish. Wonderfully balanced and delicious.
