2005
Willi Schaefer - Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spatlese AP 8
Don't remember any details except that it was very, very good.
1985
Graham's - Vintage Port
Color: Rose with hints of tawny, and a clear white edge; nice legs.
Nose: very little; some alcohol, definite sweetness, and that's about it; no fruit that I could discern.
Taste: very smooth entry, mid palate, and finish; little to no tannins left; likewise, very little fruit left, perhaps, some strawberries or plum; secondary characteristics were slight raisiny; very sweet, smooth finish, maybe a little hot but not much. All in all, it was certainly delicate, but it didn't really come across as nuanced and complex as I was expecting.
2008
Hamilton Russell - Pinot Noir
Nice pinot noir. Wonderful bouquet. Medium body. Strawberries, distinct pinot flavor. Not as good as the 2007. A bit too much tartness/tanginess, even after 4 hours of air.
Tasted again after 24 hours. Improved: less harsh.
Tasted again after 48 hours. Even better, smoother. This wine definitely needs to be decanted and spend some time with air before drinking.
2007
Milton Park - Shiraz
Opened with homemade lasagna. Was not very enjoyable.
