Lovely sauterne. Very alive with good fruit and acidity. Apricots and peaches.
Decanted and consumed...nothing fantastic. Maybe my expectations were too high. The label is really fantastic, though.
Marius Delarche - Corton-Charlemagne (Reserve)
Nose was oxidative. But it did open up after a while. Deep yellow in color. Way past its peak. Drink or dump.
Concha y Toro - Don Melchor
Dark, nearly black color wine. Nose was subdued. The wine was a powerful cabernet. Enjoyed with USDA prime NY strip steak...great combo. Everyone loved the wine...i still prefer Napa Cabs.
