Louis Guntrum Niersteiner Bergkirche Riesling Kabinett
Great with curry/chicken/mango/cashew dish. Just enough acidity to stand up to the sweetness in the dish and the possible cloyness in the wine. Melon, honey, lycée, pear and citrus. Great mouthfeel makes you want to take another swag. Yummy.
Pio Cesare - Barolo
Soft integrated tannins, hot nose, red fruit, little austere, okay but not great
Turley - Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard
Perfect to celebrate America's Indepenence with this gem and a big, charbroiled, juicy burger. This wine is at its top, displaying big red fruit, integrated tannins, typical nose. I'd give it a 94!
Louis Latour - Gevrey-Chambertin
Smells faintly like the wet dog we know from the area, hints of cherry. Some tannin coupled with red fruits, berry, bell pepper, ending with cedar notes. Glad we have plenty more. 92
