Cos d'Estournel - Les Pagodes de Cos
**Robert Parker: Wine Advocate # 176. Apr 2008. Reviewer : Robert Parker. The second wine, the 2005 Les Pagodes de Cos, is already delicious. Offering plenty of cedar, cappuccino, and black cherry notes in a medium-bodied, seamless style with no hard edges, it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next decade. Drink: 2008 - 2018. **Jancis Robinson: Published :13-Apr-2006. Very vibrant, dynamic nose - great intensity. Vigorous, savoury attack and then wonderfully opulent fruit. Lots of richness and ripe fruit but in a pretty strict corset of fine but very chewy tannin. Well done! Definitely St-Estèphe. Always instructive to taste at Cos immediatle after Lafite with Cos so very different and very St-Estèphe. Just falls away a little suddenly on the finish. Younger vine produce in here. When to Drink : 2014 to 2024. **Wine Spectator: Issue: Mar 31, 2008. Currant and sweet tobacco aromas follow through to a full body, with seamless tannins and a ripe berry, tobacco and coffee aftertaste. Enjoyable already. The second wine of Cos d'Estournel. Best after 2010. -JS. **Stephen Tanzer: May/Jun 06. By Stephen Tanzer.( 50/50 blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot). Ruby-red. Coolish aromas of black cherry and licorice. Supple, fresh and fruit-driven, with enticing floral lift to the sweet, pliant flavors. Finishes with ripe tannins. Excellent for this second wine.
Strewn - Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon Rogue's Lot
Medium ruby colour; complex array of red currant, blackberry, coffee bean, and tobacco aromas; medium bodied with balanced tannins and black fruit flavours lingering to a smoky finish. (LCBO Tasting note)
