Williams Selyem - Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
I am a big WS fan, but this one was just "OK". Tasted like any other mid priced Pinot. Will try again in a few years.

Shafer - Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select
This was truly a fantastic wine. Soft and supple. Decanted for 2 hours. Very soft on the palate, leather like. Powerful aromas abound. I will be buying many more bottles. Wow!

Cakebread - Cabernet Sauvignon Vine Hill Ranch
Perhaps due to improper storage, the cork crumbled on its way out....
Decanted for a long 2 hours, but the wine was tightly wound and would not open up. Very disappointing. Could not taste the fruit in this one.

Haut-Bailly
Rosy in color. Medium rim variation. Fast legs. Tar, Burnt Match, Stoniness. Nutmeg. Medium bodied. Full bodied. Leathery texture. Medium finish. The last of 3 bottles that I had purchased, all 3 had issues with broken corks. This is a pretty bad wine, and I will not be buying anymore so-so wines, even from a great year like 1982. Rarely have I wasted wine, and we could not even consume the entire bottle.
