RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2010 Ababol Verdejo - Sobre Lias
Nice, everyday white with freshness, some complexity, and reasonable acidity.

2009 CapaBlanca - Pinot Noir Coucher du Soleil
Red fruit and earth nose. Tastes similar, if somewhat tannic. Pleasing, but not particularly complex or lengthy on the finish.

2009 Andre Bonhomme - Vire Clesse
Like old times. Minerally fruity nose. Unctuous texture with tastes of pear and apples. Mineral apparent, as well as firm acidity. Significantly long finish. Very enjoyable.

2009 Jean-Pierre Seve - Pouilly-Fuisse Terroir
Nose of faint fruit and minerals. Tastes bright and minerally, with good complexity and balanced acidity. Nice finish. Very refreshing and lively. Different style from Bonhomme VC-- brighter and less round. Like both; same price point.

(Tasted Feb 12, 2013)

2010 Servin - Chablis Les Pargues (Premiere Cuvee)
Thick, clear texture. Light golden in color. Nose is complex, savory, with a hint of citrus and wet stone. Taste is complex and savory--mirroring the nose. Very crisp acidity helps maintain the finish. I suspect it could use a bit of age to soften the acidity a bit and generate more balance. But, as usual, a delicious Chablis that is a bargain.
