RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2007 Beaucastel - Chateauneuf du Pape
Incredibly smooth and rich, like drinking liquid velvet. Deep ruby color, very well balanced, nice finish. Will only get better with age but drinkable now.

(Tasted Aug 2, 2010)

2005 Paul Hobbs - Cabernet Sauvignon CrossBarn
Extra nice finish, especially good with Danish blue cheese - complex, heavy, rich, full-bodied. Came alive with the beef course. Powerful, rich, nicely layered. Good finish. Eric's favorite.

(Tasted Mar 23, 2009)

2005 Dominus - Napanook
Aromatic, nice finish, full body, not in your face. Old World styling in a California cab. Noticeable tannins. Should age well.

(Tasted Mar 23, 2009)

2005 Silverado - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Rich in color, smooth, hints of cherry, drinkable now, not heavy tannins.

(Tasted Mar 23, 2009)
