RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2004 Quietud - Toro
Put this stuff down in the cellar for a while. Right now it tastes and smells like rose petals and blackberries from a barnyard floor...Spanish garrigue and plenty of tannins. Actually liked it a lot, but needs time and then a good dose of air.

1998 Chapoutier, M - Ermitage Le Meal Blanc
Straw color with pleasant honeyed aroma and smooth palate. Tasted better as it approached room temperature and paired well with a creamy chicken dish. Wouldn't run out and buy another one at current prices.

2000 Tua Rita - Giusto di Notri
Very dark, full-bodied and intense with no single flavor predominant. Really needs to be decanted. Needs a lot air. We wound up letting it breathe for hours before it reached its potential. Still a little rough edge to the tannins, otherwise it would be a 95+ wine.

2004 Rubissow-Sargent - Cabernet Sauvignon
Wow! What a success for the next generation of Rubissow winemakers in Napa. Deep, rich fruit...blackberries, cassis, and currants with ample sweet tannins that promise some potential in the cellar. Hard to find, but worth the effort.

2006 Bouard-Bonnefoy - Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Les Petits Clos 1er Cru
Apple. lemon. and a hint of brown butter with pleasant acidity and enough of a mineral finish to keep it very interesting.
