2010 Segries - Lirac Cuvee Reservee
This year's vintage of Segries Lirac is outstanding. The wine is structured and more balanced than its previous vintage. It is dark and plumy with thick juicy tannins. The finish is loaded with crushed cherry and pepper. The only downside we have seen with the 2010 Rhone vintage is the low production. I'd drink this one now or over the next 5 or 6 years. It makes a great everyday drinking wine during the summer because of its ability to pair with just about any grilled meat. Any one else thinking of spring already? A great pairing with lamb.
