Guigal, E - Cote-Rotie Brune et Blonde
Fantastic wine. Hard to believe that this is just the regular Cote Rotie. Dark ruby-purple color. Seductive, highly aromatic nose. Rich, almost velvet-like, lush wine. A bit forward with ripe fruits but with high acidity, big tannins, and long long finish. Great wine, especially for the price.
2004
Pontet-Canet
Full-bodied with dark fruits of berries and currant. Well balanced with good tannin and acidity to pamper your palate with velvety smooth texture. Still a bit early even with 2+ hours of decanting but watch out in couple of years. Very good value for the money.
2006
Dauzac
Attractive nose of red fruits, vanilla and oak. Gentle, yet well-balanced with good tannin structure. Drinking well now.
