Heitz - Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard
Dark scarlett red color, just bit of bricking at rim. looks relatively youthful actually. Initially bouquet of truffles, leather, herbs and dark chocolate. Over time sour cherries and cedar emerges, band aids (bit of Bret). Complex nose. Palate is still quite fresh, with good acid and more tannins than I would expect with a 31 year old wine. Tannins will likely outlast the fruit. Finish is very long. Sweet fruit and tannic finish. Probably good for more years although the tannin will likely live on as the fruit fades, ruining the balance.
Dehlinger - Pinot Noir Goldridge Vineyard
Rich concentrated scarlet red pinot with great spice aromas, cut, and depth. Needs age to develop secondary aromas.
Aubert - Pinot Noir Ritchie Vineyard
Rich thick fruited dense dark weighty pinot. Intense dark red pinot fruit and spice flavors and aromas, with bright lifting acidity, minerality, smooth tannins, and long finish. Lots of depth, with palate staining concentrated fruit. Would be interesting to see how this resolves over the next 10 years. Very big style of pinot so not for everyone - opposite of littorai.
Aubert - Chardonnay Sonoma Coast
Yellow pale golden straw color, bright lemony aromas with complex minerally streak. Vibrant zesty mineral laced lemon palate with fantastic tension and balance. Rich intense midpalate with long tasty finish.
AP Vin - Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard
Blackberry and mineral aromas, dark viscous but clear purple color, great cut and acidity on the palate, very long finish. But a bit hot.
