Clouds Rest - Pinot Noir
Beautiful rich yet elegant and balanced pinot. Concentrated dark red fruit. Spicy lush SC fruit, yet sharply delineated by crisp lifting acidity and baking spice flavors. Long finish. Really good, getting better with age, and appears to be drinking at peak.
Williams Selyem - Pinot Noir Russian River Valley
Dark red opaque color, fresh red tart cherry fruit aromas and flavors with spice, beautiful balance with bright refreshing acidity, silky mouthfeel and long finish.
Rhys - Pinot Noir Bearwallow Vineyard
Dark red, dense yet elegant fruit, very dry. Very Burgundian in its lack of sweetness, and muster smell. Almost more like an Oregon pinot. Than California. Intense, refined, and very strongly perfumed however. Needs time.
Aubert - Chardonnay Eastside Vineyard
Pale yellow straw color with great clarity. Complex intense nose of stone, yellow tropical fruit, and kerosene. Very light yet dense palate of lemony flavors and tingling minerality. Excellent.
Domaine Carneros - Le Reve
Dry, yeasty, delicious, golden bronze sparkler with lots of secondary aromas and creamy mouthfeel.
