DRC - Grands-Echezeaux
Deep ruby color. Closed in. Decanted. Developed with time. Black fruit and spice in nose and taste. Balanced with long finish. Spice and oak with silky body. In my cellar since release.
Joseph Phelps - Insignia
Deep purple with little sign of age. Fascinating complex nose of spice, currant and a little eucalyptus. Perfect balance, fully developed tannins and fruit. Complex and elegant developing in the glass showing plums and spice with mint coming on with time. Lingering complexity in the aftertaste. The wine was in perfect condition with no ullage and a pristine cork. In my cellar since release.
