2008
Fleury - Sauvignon Blanc
A very nice Napa Sauvignon blanc. In between a New Zealand and a Sancerre with well balanced acidity and fruit.
2006
Hobbs, Paul - Cabernet Sauvignon CrossBarn
A good moderately priced Hobbs cab. Dark fruit, cedar, some spice. Well balanced, ripe tannins so it's ready to drink now or could age well for a few more years. A nice easy drinking wine but not near the level of his higher priced offerings.
2006
Trefethen - OKD Three
Non-traditional bordeaux blend of 73% Malbec, 19% Petit Verdot and the rest Cabernet. A very balanced wine, good acidity and nice soft tannins. Red fruit. Ready to drink now but tannins suggest that it could be well served by another few years in the bottle
2006
Courier - Syrah
a very light styled syrah with lots of bubble gum notes. Gamay-esque. Beaujolais Nouveau without the carbonation. Not my style at all.
2003
Picard
Lots of red fruit and some floral notes. medium bodied with good fine tannins. It's a fruit forward style without much complexity but very nice nonetheless; especially for the price.
