2005
Chocalan - Gran Reserva
PRODUCER NOTES: This charming yet subtly elegant vintage has a deep plum colour with black tones. Big fruity flavours combined with cigar, leather and chocolate notes developed with the gentle touch of ageing in French oak for 14 months. In mouth the wine is a wonder; both complex and with a powerful structure and memorable finish. Excellent cellar potential for the Gran Reserva 2005 vintage. // 2008 CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES - Great Gold Medal
2006
Chocalan - Gran Reserva
PRODUCER NOTES:
The same passion for the challenge of making high expressive wine is moving us since the first Blend Gran Reserva.
With this third vintage, we keep finding out the perfect harmony between six varieties and the faithful reflection of our terroir.
Intense and complex, the Blend 2006 has a radiant nose of ripe fruits: cherry, plum, blueberry jam mixed with a subtle touch of tobacco, chocolate, leather. The complexity is enhanced by 14 months of oak-ageing in French barrels.
In mouth the wine surprises by its acidity, concentration and elegance of the tannins. //

2004
Chocalan - Gran Reserva
PRODUCER NOTES:
A very consistent wine which commences with notes of cloves, cinnamon, cedar, and black pepper, with a background graced with gentle vanilla from the oak barrels.
The ripe fruit is buoyed by almost a crackling acidity revealing fresh strawberry and sour cherries.
This broad palette wine is both flavourful and elegant. //

2006
Chocalan - Pinot Noir
PRODUCER NOTES:
A brilliant dark red with expressive, complex, and elegant aromas.
After slight movement, it releases all its potential, typical for this variety showing notes of sour cherry, blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry.
The mouth is explosive and flavourful, delicate, with round tannins and a delicious candied fruit.
Mature and fresh, the wine offers a large final with a hint of vanilla.
2006
Chocalan - Syrah
PRODUCER NOTES:
The 2006 vintage shows a very intense violet-red in color and is marked by great elegance.
The nose recalls black and dried fruits with nice smoky notes. Good volume and structure delight the palate, and nice acidity lends the wine a fresh liveliness.
The floral and fruity notes are complemented by a light touch of vanilla and toast, for an undeniably elegant wine with a long and highly elegant finish.
