Closed at first, needs at least 1 hour of decanting time to really open up. Once open, this is a very balanced Margaux for the money. The wine reaveals minerals and black currant flavors with some still heavy, yet, structured tannin. This wine could use a few more years of cellaring to reveal its true greatness.
Excellent. Very structured and heavy in the mouth. Opened up after first two glasses revealing soft, silky tannins, crushed berries and suttle toasted oak. I would give this another 1-2 years of cellaring.
very nice. delicate and refined for this estate and vintage. slight brown around the edge with strong notes of coffee and crushed berries.
Mission Haut-Brion - La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion
very elegant for a second wine. exhibited notes of red fruit, crushed stone and damp forest floor. a beautiful wine.
