wine was tired and dead, despite the recorking at the winery... or maybe because of it !!!

Pousse d'Or - Volnay En Caillerets 1er Cru
A gorgeously perfumed nose that is now fully mature (though with no sous bois) merges into intense, sweet and wonderously complex flavors that culminate in a long, pure, velvety and mouth coating finish. However, unlike the magnum the last time that I had it, the '85 Soixante Ouvrées has reached its maturity in this format and a classy, pure and lovely drinking experience it is too. Note that while this is fully mature, there is absolutely no rush to drink up and it should last another decade plus at this level if well stored.

Inconsistent results from multiple bottles. Some were just fine, but not great.
One bottle expired after 15 minutes in the bottle.

Brown, but still holding well. Notes of cherry .
