Bouchard Pere & Fils - Corton
Nose of black cherry, dried leaves and brown spices (cinnamon?). Beauty in the mouth! Soft tannins, medium bodied, good length, strong start, very flavoured and fading slowly with hints of minerality and acidity.
Ornellaia - Ornellaia
Very jammy (blackcurrant) and herby (menthol, eucalyptus) nose. Very powerful, full-bodied tuscan character, sweetness (ripe black fruits). Lacked a bit of acidity and complexity to get a better score. This wine might need another couple of years cellaring to develop some more balance of tastes.
Bouchard Pere & Fils - Meursault Les Genevrieres 1er Cru
Exotic fruits, rich, long, with some sweetness but also a pleasant aciditic finish. Don't wait too long though.
Argiano - Brunello di Montalcino
Vanilla and oak nose. Long, full bodied, spicy.
Felsina - Chianti Classico Rancia Riserva (Berardenga)
Black currant and spices. Sweet nose but does taste of earth, mineral and fresh.
