RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2005 Mas de la Deveze - Pandora
Deep nose of boysenberries, grilled meats and iron. Sweet dense palate with surprisingly pretty tannins.

1997 Etude - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Last of 8 bottles purchased on release. Fruit has dissipated leaving a very dry and grainy palate. Food helps but on its own very disjointed. Based on my previous notes this wine was drinking much better 4 years ago.

2000 Rousseau, Armand Pere & Fils - Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St Jacques 1er Cru
Terrific nose of sappy Pinot fruit and wet Gevrey earth. Silky smooth palate with great balance. As with many 2000 Burgundies this is drinking terrific right now and will continue for the next several years.

2002 Boillot, Henri - Meursault Charmes 1er Cru
On the nose a mix of lemon custard, honeysuckle and minerals. Rich but focused palate. Highly recommend.

2001 Lambrays - Clos des Lambrays
Crushed berries, earthy, minerals. Great finish and pretty tannins. No where near peak however I have experienced bottle variation.
