2004
Sine Qua Non - Poker Face
That was probably the best wine I have ever had!
2003
Gerard Raphet - Chambertin Clos de Beze
Light ruby red in color. An amazing bouquet of minerals, cherry, light spices, licorice with a flowery scent to it. On the palate it developed into a powerful but elegant blend. It had great fruit, some acidity, and lots of power. The finish did not seem to end.
2003
Two Hands - Shiraz Lily's Garden
Very dark ruby red and very inky. Great nose of blackberry, licorice, peppery spice, chocolate and coffee roast. On the palate it had everything one expects form a powerful Australian Shiraz. The finish was intense and lingered on for a while.
2000
Duckhorn - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Dark red, purplish in color. The bouqet was still nice - dark berries, some current and even some chocolate. The tannins were very mild and on the palate the fruit dominated. The finish was faint - if you have any of this wine left, drink it now.
2003
Colgin - Cariad
After reading some tasting notes on this one I decanted the wine for 8 hours. Almost black in color and with the time in the decanter a nose of blackberries, meats, licorice, and spices developed. A massive wine on the palate with an incredible finish.
