RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2011 Mount Eden - Chardonnay Santa Cruz Mountains Estate
I have always loved this producer and this vintage is fine but not great. Drinking well now, may continue to improve, but I prefer other vintages.

(Tasted Aug 31, 2015)

2005 William Fevre - Chablis Les Clos
With15 minutes of air, still delightful. Lime, seashells, vibrant acidity. Don't wait much longer

(Tasted Aug 30, 2015)

2008 Catena Zapata - Malbec Argentino
A great Malbec from a consistently excellent producer. Drink now or hold for several years

(Tasted Aug 17, 2015)

2005 Kistler - Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard
Still in prime form despite its age. Burgundian and medium bodied with good finish

(Tasted Jul 1, 2015)

2001 Kongsgaard - Syrah (Hudson Vineyard)
More like a Northern Rhone Syrah, fully mature, soft tannins, elegant--not a fruit bomb. Still a good finish, but drink now

(Tasted Jun 28, 2015)
