Montes Alpha - Syrah Apalta Vineyard
Dark putple, lots of fruity plum, full bodied, excellent. Probably needs about two more years to be at its peak.
Eyrie - Pinot Noir Estate
Very light in color, almost a rose. Needed plenty of time to breathe. Fruity, pretty smooth, clear tasting. Finished nice.
Cano - Tinto de Toro Seleccion
Smooth, drinkable wine reminiscent of wines I have tried from the Saumur appellation in France. Light, clear tasting, dry, wih a finish that is distinct, hard to describe, but quite pleasant. Ready to drink now.
Smooth, full fruit. Enjoyable wine.
Filliatreau - Saumur Champigny La Grande Vignolle
This wine has vrey interesting flavor that I really struggle to describe. The first bottle I tried about 2 years ago was okay, but two years later this is beginning to really show its stuff. I figure another a year or two and it may score even higher.
