Dettori Rosso Renosu
Aromas burst from the glass, flowers, fruit, with a stony backbone and a cover of mushrooms. Flavors are bbeyond belief; fruit,earth, minerals, all beautifully balanced. Awesome midpalate, and an incredible finish that lasts for minutes.

Barrister - Merlot Red Mountain
Deep purple color, rich, ripe dark fruit flavors, lengthy finish.

Ducru-Beaucaillou - La Croix de Beaucaillou
On opening, a bit tight and tannic. 45 minutes of air and the wine turned beautiful. Wonderful, Ducru aromas, silky mouth feel, long chocolatey finish.
1997
Haut Bernasse - Cotes de Bergerac
Delightful wine from an off year. Medium bodied, earthy, fruity aromas that opened nicely over an hour or so, silky, fruity flavors with a bit of minerality. Short finish.
