RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

1988 Cos d'Estournel
Beautiful bouquet, complicated with earth tones, silky spices, coffee and chocolate. On the palate; structured, balanced with plenty of fruit for a firm tannic backbone, tons of cassis, cherry pit and some black figs with a long finish. Can last another 5-10 years possibly.

2004 Leaf + Twig - Cabernet Sauvignon
Thick red inky color, cherry-pomegranite cognacy bouquet, Soft and sweet, well balanced tannins with plenty of fruit. Vinuous earthy and loads of mixed berries...cherry, raspberry, blackberry..some apple and pear mixed in. Good long finish...at least 30 seconds. Can last at least 10 years.

2004 Radio-Coteau - Syrah Timbervine
Soft earth and mineral undertones bouquet, red fruit, mostly raspberry and white cherry. Soft and luscious raspberry with some licorice and subtle spice on the palate with a medium to long finish. Tannins are well rounded but give way to some slightly stronger than expected alcohol. A refined Syrah compared to most.

2002 Ojai - Syrah Thompson Vineyard
Thick turbulent looking wine, minty, cherry, raspberry, alcoholic nose. On the palate, over penetrating tannins, austere, fruit very overpowered but subtle cherry pit, and tannins that outlast any kind of finish. May benefit from more cellar time, but not sure there is enough fruit for this.

2004 Turley (Hospices du Rhone) - Roussanne Alban Vineyard
Pure milk and honey with vanilla added. Minimal acidity. This is a dessert all by itself! Won't last too long.
