Cedre - Le Cedre
Still young, this is not an 82-point wine, as others have found. It is not a fruit bomb, and needs time in the decanter or glass, but it will reward a patient drinker. The fundamentals, notably its structure, are all there, and the dark fruit emerges after an hour...or a day...or two days. This wine will only improve.
Louis Jadot (Duc de Magenta) - Puligny-Montrachet Clos de la Garenne 1er Cru
An outstanding example of the Clos de la Garrenne, it shows of wet slate as the wine unwinds in the glass, and then lovely citrus fruits come to bear in fine balance. From cellar to table with just a nudge in the fridge. Still 3-6 years to go with this wine. Lovely on its own, it was a perfect accompaniment to a shrimp scampi.
