Ca' Marcanda (Gaja) - Promis
Taste: A delightful wine that combines the elegance and suppleness of Merlot and Syrah with the austerity of Sangiovese.
Art School - Cabernet Sauvignon Caroline's Reserve
This is a young Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa's St. Helena district. It is full, dark and spicy with aromas of toasty oak and black raspberry combining with subtle notes of cedar and coconut. Complex layers of concentrated black fruits and spicy oak are supported by full, yet silky tannins.
Gaja - Langhe Sito Moresco
Aroma: Pure nose with aromas of small fruits. Taste: A fruity, elegant taste; good balance in the mouth and a fresh fruity finish with very fine, silky tannins. Ideal to drink young but matures well for at least 5-7 years.
Rocas - Garnacha
fashioned from 75-year old Grenache vines planted on pure slate. Sixty percent was aged in tank, and 40% in neutral wood foudres.
A powerful, youthful colour which characterizes this vintage at the moment. Toffee, coffee and butterscotch, all oak-derived. Full, concentrated, creamy, seamless feel, with structure beneath. Fabulous quality here. Amazingly drinkable now from this format, but will benefit from 12 years in the cellar.
