2005
Perrot-Minot, Henri - Gevrey-Chambertin
hints of cedar and cherry with a medium finish.
2006
Shane - Syrah The Unknown
Yes Yes Mr. Finley. Shane puts together a wonderful display of Syrah. The bottle I tasted, was stuck on a San Diego Fedex truck for 2 days during a heat wave. When I opened the box, the bottle was HOT to the touch. Chilled it down, waiting to taste a disaster. But WTF, this was superb and my 3 guests concurred. Want more, and I will be ordering The Unknown in future vintages. I usually don't put a ton of words to a note, but this one deserves the recognition.
2004
Barons V - Cabernet Sauvignon
pepper, cherry jam, more accent on the pepper. Still holding nicely for the QPR.
