Mark.Zinner's profile

Private Collector
Mark's wine epiphany while working as a busboy in Sarasota in 1979 started a wine geek collector syndrome which has guided him through many personal taste transitions and eventually dumped him amongst the vines of Burgundy, the Rhone, Champagne and the California Coastline.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2011 Oudin - Chablis
tasty village chablis, I think this needs another 1-2 years to come together.

(Tasted Oct 1, 2015)

2011 Val De Mer Chablis
great value chablis, this drinks a little fatter than most chablis but is still very tasty

(Tasted Oct 1, 2015)

2001 Jasmin - Cote-Rotie
two consistent data points. This wine is good but I think it needs more time. I have faith with 5 more years this will turn the corner to greatness. Hold.

2011 William Nahan Chablis
Good everyday village chablis. Hints of oyster, minerals and sea spray.

(Tasted May 2, 2015)

2011 Jean Fery et Fils - Savigny-les-Beaune Les Vergelesses 1er Cru
Vinfolio mistakenly lists this as white but indeed it is red. Nice wine, needs time and none of the bitter "green" noticed.

(Tasted May 2, 2015)
