Evening Land - Chardonnay Burgundy
non-descript chard, nothing standout, not oaky but not "there"
Auguste Clape - Cornas
This seemed off, a bit flabby, grainy and rustic. Not exciting flavor/texture wise. Little aromatic interest. A symptom of the vintage? A bad bottle? NR
Alesia - Pinot Noir San Mateo County
very nice wine consumed over many years, each one was delightful.
Grand Veneur - Cotes du Rhone Reserve
Good everyday CdR, easy to drink
Chateau de Fonsalette - Cotes du Rhone Rouge (Reserve)
Very pretty, elegant cdr which speaks more to cndp and the deft touch of Rayas than a typical cdr. Drinking well but plenty of time left. Dare say it, burgundian in texture and appeal.
