2005
Jayson - Pinot Noir
Spicy and earthy expression of Pinot Noir. Dark fruit on the nose. Earthy and spicy with a bit of a licorice on the finish. Not a lightweight Pinot. Let it breath for several hours and spice/licorice only got sharper...almost too much. There are other Sonoma Coast options that are better values in this vintage.
2004
Pahlmeyer - Red
Decanted for about 45 minutes before drinking and the nose made it almost impossible to wait...but so worth it. Amazing fruit/berry flavors, tremendous balance, and silky in the mouth. Long lasting finish. Now wishing I had more in the cellar.
2006
Laetitia - Pinot Noir Reserve
Light strawberry and red fruit, but thin and not too interesting to my palate.
2005
Avalon - Cabernet Sauvignon California
Red fruit on the front end with a nice balance of smokiness on the back end. Not a power house CA cab, but at less than $15 per bottle, an excellent value.
