Scherrer - Zinfandel Old and Mature Vines
I usually son't touch these until age 4-5 but had a case so what the hell. This was very nice. Still has that young bite to it but the perfect balance that I expect from Fred Scherrer's zins. Polar opposite from my other favorite zin producer (Carlise). Scherrer's zins seem to have a lightness/elegance about them that broadens the food parings. Carlisle's are just flat out fun to drink alone.

Pesquie - Les Terrasses
Ahh, back to normal after a probable corked bottle last time. Perfect rhone typicity. Balance is outstanding-this was great with grilled beef filet and roasted veggies.
