This wine is really tough. No amount of decanting seems to help. I don't know what happened to this wine, but It's gone.

Rodaro - Ribolla Gialla
ICK. This wine was not corked or oxidized, but it was terrible. It is bitter. Its full body only compounded the problem. No discernable fruit, just big and thick and bitter. I poured the whole thing down the drain. Wouldn't even cook with it.

Herdade do Esporao - Reguengos Reserva Blanco
This wine really exceeded my expectations. It is perfectly balanced. The nose matches the wonderful, stone fruit. The finish is a tiny bit crisp. This wine has the roundness of a chardonnay but the fruit is more distinguishable, fresh, and special. Either I couldn't taste the oak or it was so perfectly integrated it complemented the lovely fruit. This wine is different and good.

Faury, Philippe - St Joseph Blanc
Dry. Full bodied. Tight mineral grip finish. This would pair well with a cream sauce or something that needs to be cut. This is a different, interesting wine. Not at all typical.
