"A beautiful sleeper of the vintage from proprietor Alain Vauthier, this 2007 offers notes of spring flowers, blueberries, raspberries, and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied with beautiful balance, silky tannins, and low acidity, this lush wine should be drunk over the next decade."—Robert Parker
Callaway - Syrah Special Selection
A light, bright easy drinking red filled with cheerful cherry, vanilla and pomegranate aromas. The soft red fruits and berries continue through the palate and finish where they mingle with touches of white pepper and dried cranberries.
Chappellet - Zinfandel
Warming notes of spicy black pepper, cardamom and ginger rise from the glass, mingling with sunsoaked plum and black cherry. Generous blackberry, dark chocolate and licorice flavors fill the palate, accented by exotic garam masala spice that lasts well into the delightfully warm and persistent finish.
Chappellet - Merlot
Ripe plum, strawberry and pomegranate aromas rise from the glass, followed by hints of cigar box and baking spice. Sweet, round and viscous on the palate, our Merlot offers dark flavors of black cherry and molasses, complemented by cola and liquer undertones. The luscious mouthfeel is perfectly offset by a finish of creamy oak and brown sugar toast.
