Unexpectedly good. Lots of structure, good fruit, hint of wood. Crowd pleaser.

Gerard Raphet - Morey St Denis (Vieilles Vignes)
Serviceable, but not all that great. Decently balanced, but very thin.

Bruno Clair - Marsannay Les Longeroies
A bit rustic, but really surprisingly nice for a Marsannay. Starts sweet and mouth-coating, finishes with a bit of minerality and good tannin structure. A hint of bitterness on the finish keeps this just short of a 90, but well worth the effort.

Bouchard Pere & Fils - Beaune Les Greves Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus 1er Cru
Delicious, forward black fruit. Very concentrated flavors. Well-integrated wood with nice spice notes. Not super complex, but good length and mouthfeel.
