2000 Enrico Fossi - Vignavento
Fresh ruby/garnet color, its plummy, well spiced, black cherry nose, and its concentrated intense flavors of red fruit, tar, and licorice, which possess an important continuity and length. It should provide excellent drinking until 2016 to 2018.

2003 Conciliis - Naima
Dark garnet in color with pronounced chocolate and coffee aromas. Tannins are sweet and soft resulting in a velvety finish. Drink for another 10 years.

2001 Arnaldo Caprai - Sagrantino di Montefalco 25 Anni
Room-filling aromas of sweet berry fruit and perfectly integrated oak and a mouth-coating cascade of ripe fruit, powerful, dense, and sensual tannins in a swelling flow of unrelieved pleasure. I would be very surprised if this wine did not last another two decades.

1999 Banfi - Brunello di Montalcino Poggio all'Oro Riserva
Smooth and lush, with a ton of berry, cherry and smoke character. Supremely ripe and full, with chocolate and spice mixed into the prime cherry/berry palate. This is a wine for anyone who simply loves wine, maybe it isn't ultra-complex but there's no arguing about its polish and style. Drink 3 to 10 years

2001 Aldo Conterno - Barolo Cicala
Loads of plum, berry and licorice character with hints of new wood. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long, rich finish. Beauty here. Tight and compacted. Lots going on here. Give it time. Best 2008 to 2020
