Clos de L'Oratoire des Papes - Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc
This was very nice. pale straw/gold. Not sweet, but honeyed. Minerals, peaches, very nice touch of acidity on the tip of the tongue. complex. smooth, full, unctuous mouth feel. going to get more to put some down and see how it develops over the next 5 years--if i can keep my hands off of it!

Vilafonte - Series C
This was lovely, but still has time to grow and develop a bit more. Tannins are smoothing out, becoming softer, lots of fruit--hints of cherry, not jammy, but still full bodied. Very nice nose. hints of smoke and cedar around the edges.

De Trafford - Shiraz
very nice. ready now. has the typical S. African smoke. Lots of fruit--both black and blue. great legs, nice full bodied shiraz. still some tannins, but in nice balance w/ the fruit. Lovely nose as well, which is less typical of a S. African shiraz.

Luca - Beso de Dante
Perfectly fine bordeaux style blend, fully mature, drank easily.
