Kilikanoon - Shiraz Oracle
Not my favorite Australian Shiraz, based more on style than anything else. This was overpowering, too tannic, too oaky.
Faiveley - Nuits St Georges Clos de la Marechale 1er Cru
This was a very nice burgundy. Not profound, yet it developed in the glass, had nice body/legs/mouth feel, very decent nose, and lots of typical red fruit
Concha y Toro - Don Melchor
This was a stunningly beautiful wine. Fully ready to drink. Dark, ruby red. Classic Bordeaux style. Elegant. Fantastic nose, w/ cedar and red fruits. Should last another 5 to 10 years, but why wait?
Rocas - Garnacha
over the hill.
