RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. 2003 Altesino - Brunello di Montalcino
Good but not great, which was what we expected here. Red, dusty fruit and a smokey overtone that dominates the finish. May have passed it's prime. Did not improve after two hours being open.

2002 Donnafugata - Mille e una notte
Passed its prime - 2 bottles with consistent notes - and needed an hour to open up. Once it did it exhibited a green pepper nose and flavor profile, which was more savory than off-putting. Not bad, but not as good as it once was.

2003 Damilano - Barolo Cannubi
Very good! Was pleased with the fruit and structure with all of that "barnyard" aroma that you'd expect. This is the third 2003 Barolo that has been impressive in the last two weeks.

2012 Joseph Phelps - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Had to try one right out of the club delivery. Good fruit and strong backbone but needs a year or two to mellow out. It has all the hallmarks of a great wine but just too young and tight at this point.

2011 Recuerdo - Gran Corte
Arrived today with my quarterly shipment of goodies form Maisonry, Napa Valley and just in time for an end of summer BBQ. Seemed like the perfect complement to the the skirt steak tacos w/grilled corn salsa we had planned and it did not disappoint. Bold, intense dark fruit with a spicy/oaky/smoky backbone and a hint of mocha. Probably should have decanted but we couldn't wait. This should age beautifully.
