RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2010 Coup de Foudre - Cuvee 37.2
Needed a little time but opened up nicely; solid fruit with the extraction level expected from Coup de Foudre; strong backbone that indicates aging potential; wife says it's "YUMMY", can't beat that!

(Tasted Mar 7, 2014)

2006 Ferrari-Carano - Tresor (Reserve)
Disappointing; maybe a bad bottle but kind of flat and tasted old (not in a good way). All that being said, still had some fruit and structure that saved it from the drain.

(Tasted Nov 27, 2013)

2010 Cliff Lede - Claret
Opened yesterday and was even better today; great fruit and strong backbone; mostly plum and cherry; light mouthfeel but not in a bad way. Drinkable right now but will be good for a few more years.

(Tasted Nov 21, 2013)

2009 Hunnicutt - Cabernet Sauvignon 9-3-5
Intense blackberry; deep red cherry; good tannin backbone; will continue to improve with age.

(Tasted Nov 21, 2013)

2010 Cliff Lede - Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
Got in club shipment today and couldn't resist. Big and tight at first; needs time to open up. Typical Howell Mtn fruit - dark choc, meaty with olives but with fruit shining through. Group rating will probably improve with age.

(Tasted Oct 17, 2013)
