RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. 2007 Robert Biale - Zinfandel Old Crane Ranch
94 Wine Spectator review - A real blockbuster, rich and ripe yet impeccably balanced. Offers aromas of freshly cracked pepper and blackberry, with complex and supple black cherry, toasty dill and licorice flavors that linger. Drink now through 2015 390 cases made.

2005 Clos du Marquis - Leoville Las Cases
93 points Wine Spectator: "Fabulous aromas of crushed raspberry, blackberry, mineral and licorice follow through to a full-bodied palate. This is chewy yet silky, with a long, long finish. Balanced and powerful. Best after 2012." (03/08) 91 points Robert Parker: "The superb second wine, the 2005 Clos du Marquis, reflects the utter brilliance of the 2005 grand vin. It boasts an inky/ruby/purple color along with a sweet perfume of lead pencil, ripe cherries and black currants, and hints of earth and vanillin. Dense, chewy, fleshy, and full-bodied, this beauty will be drinkable in 3-4 years, and should keep for 15-20." (04/08) 90 points Stephen Tanzer: "Good full red-ruby. Superripe aromas of plum, mocha, coffee and spicy oak. Big, dry, broad and rich, with a chewy quality and noteworthy sweetness to the plummy flavor. This has more baby fat than the young 2006 but not quite as much detail or verve. Finishes quite broad, with major ripe tannins and lingering sweet fruit." (May/June '08) ETA: Sept 25th, 2009.

2005 Raymond - Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve
winemaker's notes: "Other wineries come and go. Raymond remains, offering solid Napa Valley Cab at a fair price. The '05 Reserve calls to mind the very fine 2000, but actually costs less. It's a dry, elegantly structured wine, rich in sweet fine tannins, and offering up complex, delicious flavors of freshly picked ripe blackberries, spicy cassis, baked cherry pie and smoky oak. Drink now through 2015." -Wine Enthusiast 93

1996 Silver Oak - Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley
92 points Robert Parker: "The dark ruby-colored 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley exhibits a pronounced smoky, espresso bean, and kirsch-scented nose. Round, dense, rich, full-bodied, and open-knit, its low acid flavors are undeniably appealing. Black olives make an appearance in the wine's aromatics as it sits in the glass. Anticipated maturity: now-2015." (01/00)

2003 Franciscan - Magnificat
wine ethnusiest 92 Magnificat is a hand-selected blend of the vintage's finest lots of fruit. Every year, winemaker Janet Myers tastes hundreds of barrel samples to craft Magnificat, a wine as seamless and harmonious as the Bach masterwork it honors in name. Varietal Composition: 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 2% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. Appearance: Deep red. Aroma: Plum and dried cherries are intertwined with hints of tobacco, rich chocolate and soft violet. Flavors: Luscious notes of dark cherry, clove and cocoa fill the mouth. Elegant and soft, the supple tannins infuse the palate and bring the wine to a long finish with hints of sweet toasty oak and a touch of cocoa.
