Heitz - Cabernet Sauvignon Bella Oaks
I am pleasantly surprised by this wine. Silky tannins, aroma of...oak, (surprise, surprise). Beautiful mid palate that fades a little too quickly on the back end. But, in my opinion, you get all of the wonderful oaky, jammy, strawberry taste before it fades. I cant imagine it will hold up for that much longer, so drink now.

Opus One
Overall, not what you would expect from Opus One. With that said, it still showed some life with some firm tannins, and a 30 second finish. No need to hold on to for any longer.

Least liked in a four year vertical tasting. Lacking fruit and body. Weak tannins and a quick finish on the palate.

GIVEN THE VINTAGE I WAS SURPRISED WHEN I DRANK THIS IN NOVEMBER OF 2012. STILL HAD A LOT OF FRUIT, BALANCED WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ACIDITY AND OAK. BE CAREFUL AS IT MAY AT ITS PEAK.

Opus One
Oops, i think i may have waited too long. Still very silky, but fades quickly. It still had some complexity in the flavor, but i'm sure its on the downslide. Dont hold any longer, drink now or you'll be better off cooking with it.
