2003 Lynsolence
Decanted and poured immediately. Aromas of dark fruit. No obvious secondary characteristics, which is not surprising considering the age. Full bodied on the palate. Flavors of dark fruit and hints of bell pepper. Chewy tannins and a medium finish. Poured back in the bottle and drank rest on second day. Fruit had faded and small amount of secondary characteristics (cedar, tobacco) began to show, but so did the heat. Better on the first day as a flashy Merlot.
