RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2000 Rubicon Estate - Rubicon
Ripe berries and fruit-forward nose, but surprisingly light-bodied to drink. Well-balanced, but starting to fade in complexity.

(Tasted Mar 27, 2014)

2001 Grangehurst - Nikela
Very dry, high fixed acidity, strong tannins, berry nose and a deep ruby color. Could easily age a few more years. Wish I brought more back from SA.

(Tasted Feb 14, 2014)

2002 Sequoia Grove - Cabernet Sauvignon Estate
Getting a bit too jammy with age, but still enjoyable. Drink soon.

(Tasted Feb 2, 2014)

2000 Summit Lake - Cabernet Sauvignon Emily Kestrel
Seems to have improved with age; fuller in body with the characteristic depth of a Howell Mtn cab.

(Tasted Jan 3, 2014)

2002 Arger-Martucci - Odyssey
Consistent with last year; still holding up well with mellow tannins, but beginning to show its age. Must finish the case soon.

(Tasted Nov 20, 2013)
