RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes inventory changes to a wide number of people. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all the stuff you want to read online. For the consumer, an aggregator or reader, either web-based or installed on your computer, ties it all together.

To make use of this information, you have to download and install an RSS feed reader like SharpReader. Every so often, the aggregator checks the RSS feeds you selected. You log on to the aggregator and see the updates to your favorite sites, blogs and stores, all in one place. For more information on RSS, please visit:

2011 Vale - Dona Maria Douro Red
Chewy and textured. Really fun wine. I could drink this every winter night.

2008 Nickel & Nickel - Merlot Harris Vineyard
A little syrup like at first. As the wine opened up the flavors knitted together a bit better. Licorice and berry on the nose. Good not great wine for the price.

2009 Quilceda Creek - (CVR) Columbia Valley Red
Really nice wine for the price. Licorice and leather. Smooth finish. Ready to drink now but might soften a bit with age.

(Tasted Dec 27, 2014)

2005 Archery Summit - Pinot Noir Arcus Estate
Interesting floral notes with fruit trying to push through. Not sure if it was past its prime or just ok. Good, not great wine, for the price.

(Tasted Dec 25, 2014)

2000 Palmer - Alter Ego
Contrary to Parker's assertion, this wine is not over the hill. The fruit is still vibrant and the tannins have softened perfectly. This is a wonderful wine. Perfect time to drink.

(Tasted Dec 20, 2014)
