1986 La Lagune
Clear, deep ruby with a garnet rim. Clean, medium nose of ripe blackcurrant. Some vegetal notes. Fully developed. Dry, low to medium alcohol. Medium tannins but all smooth and silky now. Medium finish. Good to very good quality. Drink now.

2004 Gunderloch - Nackenheimer Rothenberg Riesling Auslese
Clear, medium golden in colour. Clean, medium to pronounced nose of ripe peach, some white flowers, honey and mineral notes. Still developing. Sweet, low alcohol. More notes of peach on the palate. medium finish (would have expected it to be a bit longer). Light to medium body. Good quality. Drink now or within next 5-10 years.

2001 Leeuwin Estate - Chardonnay Art Series
Clear, medium lemon in colour. Clean, medium to pronounced nose of ripe stone fruits, some white flowers, minerals and a hint of smoke. Dry, medium to high acidity, medium+ alcohol. Lots of ripe fruits on the palate. Minerally long finish. very polished. Not heavy despite the concentration. Burgundian in an Australian way. Nicole Kidman like. Excellent quality. High priced. Can keep for another 5 years but drinking well now.

2007 Schafer-Frohlich - Bockenauer Felseneck Riesling Eiswein AP 18
Clear, pale lemon Clean, medium to pronounced nose of honey, white blossoms, minerals and ripe peach. Developing. Sweet, high acidity, more ripe peaches and pineapples on the palate. Medium+ finish. Very polished. Fine plus. Premium priced. Drink in 10 years.

NV Gosset - Brut Grand Rose
Clear, medium salmon. Clean, medium to pronounced nose of fresh strawberries, rashberries and lime. some toasted bread notes too. Developing. Dry. Very elegant and polished. more lemon on the palate. Some minerals too. Medium+ finish. Fine quality, drink now.
