1998
Perrier-Jouet - Fleur de Champagne (Belle Epoque)
Drank out of a regular Riedel
Burgandy glass. Yeasty/bread and light floral nose. Pear fruits. Really fine mousse. Great clean finish. Liked this a lot.
2006
Williams Selyem - Pinot Noir Sonoma County
Light color. Light Cherry nose. Good balance. Medium finish. Went well with goat cheese appetizer and also with my lamb entree. Was a favorite with my three dining companions as well.
2005
Seguinier
Had a bottle last year which I remember being pretty awful. This one was surprisingly pretty decent. Good red fruit flavor, good texture, medium/short finish.
NV
Veuve Clicquot - Demi-Sec (White Label)
Nose of pear and a lot of green apples. Taste is the same. Light mousse. Not too sweet for the style. Solid dessert champagne.
2006
Mount Eden - Pinot Noir Estate
Strong fruity nose - strawberries and a little mint. Tasted a little hot. Better after an hour of air. Good medium finish.
