Smoking Loon - Merlot
Nose of medicinal cherry, palate is thin with a bit of fruit. I wasn't expecting much. Felt like it always lacks something.
Nice deep purple hue in color. Hints of black olives, currants, spice, and cedar. Beautiful styled bouquet. Medium-bodied with excellent purity, richness, and power, sweet tannin, beautiful fruit, and admirable depth.
Edgewood - Cabernet Sauvignon
Beautiful bouquet. Ripe fruit, firm tannins on the finish. Pretty nicely balanced. Decanting the wine helped round out the flavors. I would consider this wine to be medium bodies not too heavy.
Dog House - Maxie's Merlot
Garnet in color. Initial bouquet is undeniably blueberry. Somewhat hot when not decanted. Slight hints of cedar. Medium finish
