Alto Moncayo - Veraton
Crimson in color. Low rim variation. Medium legs. Full bodied. Round texture. Long finish. I had tasted the 2006 vintage a couple of years ago and went back to buy more only to find they were sold out. When I found this available, once again I purchased only one bottle to see how it compared to the 2006... We polished it off quickly and I set out to purchase several more bottles this morning. This is one of the best Grenache I have tasted...and certainly the best $24 bucks you'll spend on a bottle of wine. It's so big it would benefit from a couple of years in the cellar. Highly recommend it.
Renegade Wineries Renegade Cabernet Sauvignon
Lovely wine produced with the same grapes as Silver Oak...I will gladly put this bottle against any $50 bottle and win every time. Deep purple hue with an excellent bouquet. Silky on the tongue with a nice long finish. Soft tannins - nicely balanced wine.
Sixvine Cellars sixvine
Purple in color. Medium rim variation. Medium legs. Light/Medium bodied. Smooth texture. Short finish. Very nice dinner wine...fruity with a fairly short nose. Nice finish. A little young - tanins.
Heitz - Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard
Crimson in color. Medium rim variation. Medium legs. Medium/Full bodied. Satin-like texture. Long finish. Wonderful bouquet with a delicious taste of mint on the mid-palate. This wine is at a lovely point right now and ready to be enjoyed
